ndrea Lee, who is a rising star on the LPGA Tour, is highlighted by her debut victory at the Portland Classic of 2022. Lee has been successful all levels, including Standford University earning 9 wins throughout her college career, and playing for 17 weeks as the #1 Women's Amateur across the World. In 2019, she took home the Mark H. McCormack Medal as the top-ranked Women's Amateur at the end of the season, and turned professional later that year. Andrea Lee, a former amateur golf star is making her mark in the pro game. Here are some things you aren't aware of about Andrea Lee, the American LPGA Tour player. Andrea Lee is a Los Angeles native who was born in the month of August, 1998. James taught her to play golf since she was five years old. As a young girl, she began to compete in tournaments and in just four years she won 50 Junior titles. She was a finalist in her finals at the US Women's Open 2014 at Pinehurst No. Her father accompanied her to the tournament at the age of 15 to work as a caddie. Her sponsors invited her to compete at the 2015 ANA Inspiration LPGA Tour. But, she fell only one stroke short of making the cut. Lee played for the USA in the Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup team as well as in Women's World Amateur Team Championship. As the first female student at Stanford University, Lee was one of the best-known Stanford athletes in its past. Through the three years which followed, she was awarded nine separate title. Lee was forced to leave Stanford University and turned pro in the year 2019. Her amateur playing career spans 17 weeks at the top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee was also awarded with the 2019 Mark H. McCormack Medal after finishing the season with the highest ranking amateur. As an amateur, Lee achieved four holes in one and one albatross. In her first season she finished with two top-10 finishings. She placed 7th on Kingsbarns Golf Links in 2020 at the AIG Women's Open. Lee was the first woman to win an LPGA Tour title at the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee dedicated her win to her late grandfather Min who always considered me a winner and always believed in me. He was a wonderful person and I'm sure that she is watching. She has competed before in soccer, figure skating and Taekwondo. Lee's other passions include films, singing bowling, and shopping.
